Richard Bell – Managing Director
After 15yrs in the rail industry as a safety-critical worker, shunter, train driver, trainer and assessor and finally as the European Head of Safety for a leading design house, Richard took the plunge and established PRB-Consulting in 2010.
Richard has a passion for rail safety and has an in-depth knowledge of industry rules and standards. He will often be found out on-site or visiting one of our many clients.
Away from work he enjoys time with his wife, five sons and two dogs. You may also find him in his barn where he practices woodturning.
Paul Burgon – Rail Director

David Greenwell – Technical Head, Collection Officer
David joined PRB-Consulting in August 2016 and has over 35 years of experience in the rail industry starting at Selhurst Depot in South London. In 1990, David joined the S&T department and remained within the signalling discipline.
In 2005 he joined Achilles to deliver Link-up audits on behalf of Network Rail and then onto delivering RISQS audits. David also volunteers for Nottinghamshire 4X4 Response and is a magistrate on the Nottingham Bench.
His main hobbies are maintaining his beloved Land Rover and running.
Gill van Benthem – Office and Finance Manager, Sentinel Coordinator
Gill joined PRB Consulting in December 2013, when the company first moved into the Town House. Gill has helped develop and support key practices within the business and has been delighted to watch PRB Consulting grow year on year.
When Gill is not attempting to renovate her house, she loves walking and exploring the South Downs and her local beaches with her beloved doggie Hugo. Gill also loves travelling, especially to Italy and Scotland.
Sacha Maynard – Head of Client Accounts, Collection Officer
Sacha has been an integral member of the PRB-Consulting team for over 6 years. She is passionate about building strong working relationships with all of our clients and constantly strives to exceed our customer’s expectations.
Sacha has strong interpersonal and communication skills which enable her to develop rapport with all levels of staff within a range of companies. In order to maintain a high level of Customer Service, Sacha has developed a strong team around her that assist in delivering the high level of service that is expected.
Sacha has gained her NEBOSH Certificate, IOSH Membership and has recently become a Mental Health First Aider. She is now looking to attain her NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety.
In her spare time, Sacha enjoys paddle boarding and attending VW Camper events. She also loves taking her little dog Ted out for walks over the South Downs via the pub.
Ray Arnold – SWP Planner, Collection Officer, Assessor
Ray has been supporting PRB since 2016, initially with Rail Access Planning.
”I believe the work I do is important to help improve safety standards and working conditions on our infrastructure. I enjoy my work as it is varied through office and site-based projects and never becomes a chore.”
After years of experience on the ground Ray moved into safety-critical work and soon achieved a NEBOSH qualification in Health & Safety. In between sharing his spare time with his large family, Ray has been teaching himself to play the guitar. He modestly says, ‘‘After years of trying, I realise I don’t have any talent but enjoy the challenge, so keep going.’’
Jack Amis – Safety and Assurance Advisor
Jack has over 15 years of Health and Safety experience in a broad range of industries. He started his career in the rail sector embedded within project teams working on station refurbishment projects across London. Jack has recently joined the PRB team and brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous role as a RISQS Auditor. His main responsibility in this role was undertaking audits on suppliers registering to provide services through the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) using the Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS).
Jack is a Graduate Member of IOSH, working towards Chartered status. In his spare time, Jack likes playing racquet sports and he also manages a junior football team, but is still awaiting that elusive first trophy!
Leo Bell – Office and Business Administrator
Leo joined PRB Consulting as an Office and Business Administrator in 2019. He has recently passed his NEBOSH qualification and is looking forward to assisting clients with their audits.
In his spare time, he enjoys yoga, tennis and cycling across the stunning Sussex countryside. When he’s not out and about he also enjoys reading, watching, and generally soaking up anything history related.
Jake Vockins – IT and Website Coordinator
Connor Eade – Administration Assistant
Connor joined PRB Consulting in 2021 and is his first anniversary is fast approaching. Having finished his university degree in 2017 he worked in a number of different roles within the football industry before deciding on a career change. He is currently part of the RISQS/Client team at PRB specifically collecting, analysing and presenting key data in order to fully maximise the service we provide to our clients. Being new to the industry he is currently soaking up all information he can, whilst looking forward to further developing his knowledge in the coming years.
In his spare time, he enjoys attending games at his beloved Brighton & Hove Albion, collecting vinyl records and spending time with friends and family.
