Alcohol and Drug Screening
From September 1st 2023
We have kept our costs as low as possible without an increase since 2019. However, due to increased costs from our suppliers and service providers we are in the unfortunate position whereby we have had to review our pricing structure for Alcohol and Drug Screening.
From 1st September 2023 the following costs will apply.
Customer with a PRB Service Level Agreement in place:
- Standard Back to Lab test – £81.25
- Point of Care Test (POCT) – £91.25
- On site Callout – £350 (includes one free of charge Back to Lab test)
- Further sample analysis determined by Lab – £40.00
- Medical Review Officer (MRO) review (when required) – £115.00
Customers without a PRB Service Level Agreement
- Standard Back to Lab test – £102.00
- Point of Care Test (POCT) – £112.00
- On site Callout – £400.00 (includes one free of charge Back to Lab test)
- Further sample analysis determined by Lab – £40.00
- Medical Review Officer (MRO) review (when required) – £115.00
All costs are subject to VAT at applicable rates

PRB offer a comprehensive alcohol and drug testing service at your workplace or at our head office in East Sussex. The tests will be carried out by our trained and certified staff in a friendly environment. We have teamed up with Matrix laboratories, who are leading the way in testing for so called legal highs or New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) with innovative onsite screening kits and laboratory-based testing services. We will be able to issue the reports of the test from 24 hours after the samples have been received by Matrix.
The Matrix laboratory utilises the latest immunoassay and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry-mass spectrometry (LCMSMS) technology amongst other sophisticated analysis techniques. These methods detect a wide range of compounds, as per the Network Rail Standards which include: Amphetamines, Cannabis, MDMA (Ecstasy), Opiates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Methadone, Ketamine & Tramadol.
