Richard Bell – Managing Director

After 15yrs in the rail industry as a safety-critical worker, shunter, train driver, trainer and assessor and finally as the European Head of Safety for a leading design house, Richard took the plunge and established PRB-Consulting in 2010.
Richard has a passion for rail safety and has an in-depth knowledge of industry rules and standards. He will often be found out on-site or visiting one of our many clients.
Away from work he enjoys time with his wife, five sons and two dogs. You may also find him in his barn where he practices woodturning.
Paul Burgon – Rail Director

Paul joined PRB-Consulting in summer of 2012 after starting his rail life in 1997 after the industry entered privatisation. Bringing experience from 7 years of possession management on the West Coast, followed by experience of safe work and access planning at various companies. Paul has been seconded to Greater Anglia for the last ten years , providing possession planning services for all their project and reactive maintenance works.
In his spare time, if he is not out walking his border collie, Bonnie he will be on his bike or in the kitchen cooking up something.
David Greenwell – Technical Head, Collection Officer
David joined PRB-Consulting in August 2016 and brought with him over 38 years of experience in the rail industry. He started with British Rail at Selhurst Depot in South London. In 1990, David joined the S&T department and remained within the signalling discipline until 2005. He then joined Achilles to deliver Link-up audits on behalf of Network Rail and moved on to deliver RISQS audits. David also undertook certification audits for rail companies early in his auditing career.
David is a Magistrate on the Nottingham Bench and has been a Justice of the Peace for 12 years.
His main hobbies are maintaining his classic Land Rover, running and exercising his two beloved dogs. He has been happily married to his wife, June since 2005 who joins him on their many trips away in their caravan.
Gill van Benthem – Office and Finance Manager, Sentinel Coordinator
Gill joined PRB Consulting in December 2013, when the company first moved into the Town House. Gill has helped develop and support key practices within the business and has been delighted to watch PRB Consulting grow year on year.
When Gill is not attempting to renovate her house, she loves walking and exploring the South Downs and her local beaches with her beloved doggie Hugo. Gill also loves travelling, especially to Italy and Scotland.
Sacha Maynard – Head of Client Accounts, Collection Officer
Sacha has been an integral member of the PRB-Consulting team for 10 years this year. She is passionate about building strong working relationships with all of our clients and constantly strives to exceed our customer’s expectations.
Sacha has strong interpersonal and communication skills which enable her to develop rapport with all levels of staff within a range of companies. In order to maintain a high level of Customer Service, Sacha has developed a strong team around her that assist in delivering the high level of service that is expected.
Sacha has gained her NEBOSH Certificate, IOSH Membership, British Safety Council Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment and a proud member of The Association of Mental Health First Aiders, She is currently studying for her RSPH Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid along with an IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
In her spare time, Sacha enjoys paddle boarding, attending VW Camper events and walking her dog, Ted. She also loves traveling to see her family in Canada and helping out on the Little Farm homestead. This includes looking after the pygmy goats, horses, chickens, cats & dogs and not forgetting the house pig Winston.
Ray Arnold – SWP Planner, Collection Officer, Assessor
Ray is dedicated to improving safety standards and working conditions within our infrastructure. With years of hands-on experience, he transitioned into safety-critical work and earned a NEBOSH qualification in Health & Safety. Ray’s work spans both office-based and site-based projects, ensuring a diverse and engaging career experience. Beyond his professional endeavors, Ray spends quality time and holidays with his large family whenever he gets the opportunity. In his spare moments, he’s teaching himself to play the guitar—a pursuit he modestly describes as a delightful challenge despite any perceived lack of talent, Ray remains committed to growth and improvement.
Jack Amis – Safety and Assurance Advisor
Jack Amis is a H&S and Assurance Advisor at PRB Consulting and is a Certified Member of IOSH working towards Chartered status.
Jack has over 20 years of experience in H&S and Compliance roles across a broad range of industries. Starting his career in the rail sector, Jack was embedded within project teams working on London Underground station refurbishment projects across the capital, a safety advisor on the re-development of St Pancras Station and was a RISQS auditor prior to joining PRB Consulting.
Jack has been a member of PRB Consulting since 2021, with his focus on supporting PRB Client’s with rail assurance schemes, H&S advice, site inspections and developing company’s safety management systems.
In his spare time, Jack enjoys keeping fit, playing Padel and going for long walks with his Cocker Spaniel.
Leo Bell – Office and Business Administrator
Leo joined PRB Consulting as an Office and Business Administrator in 2019. Since then, he has gained his NEBOSH qualification and has built up extensive industry knowledge enabling him to be out on the road preparing clients for their annual RISQS audits.
In his spare time, you will find him down his allotment tending to his bee or cycling across the stunning Sussex countryside. When he’s not out and about he also enjoys reading, watching, and generally soaking up anything history related.
